Location: Clarkston Community Center 3701 College Ave, Clarkston, GA 30021 US When: Thursday, November 13, 7:00PM Back in Feb 2006, a small group of us started working on 'SOBER' our first One Day Shoot movie. In 2008, our group has grown into the FILMAtlanta group, and now it's time to start a new monthly event OPEN SCREEN NIGHT Come support indie movie makers as they begin or continue their journey into the world of independent films! All ticket sales will be donated to the Clarkston Community Center. THE BASICS
You have a short. We screen it. There are lots of talented people out there making movies.
Some have a lot of experience, and some are just learning,
but all of them are putting their time and money into the art, and they are making features and shorts.
The goal of this event is to give those indie movie makers a chance to see their short movies on a big screen
with an audience, screen a trailer for a feature,
and hopefully build connections that can lead to people making more films in the future.

HOW TO GET INVOLVED Simple rules: 1. You made a short (20 minutes or less). 2. It has no nudity, pornography, or hate speech. 3. You have a dvd that will play on a regular dvd player. 4. You get the dvd to me (Jim Smith) in time to screen it. A. Two weeks before the date if you want the title/producer/director/ listed in promos. B. I prefer at least One week before the date so I can make sure the dvd works. C. One hour before the screening, with your word that it meets the criteria in 1, 2, and 3 above. 5. The first hour and half submitted will be screened. Any additional submissions beyond an hour and a half will be first on the list for the next month. Up to 4 producers' trailers will also be accepted. Try to keep the around 4 minutes or less. |
